It was in a class session i was introduced to FLOWOL a flow chart based program for creating systems. I know understand how flowcharting this relates to systems and control. I has pretty much all the same elements i would expect to see on the sort of flow charts im used too (Arrows, labelled connectors, and a flow of information)
what was good
What I like about Flowol was that it was very simple and said what each symbol did in basic language e.g Start, stop, delay input 1 on, so was able to start putting together a flow chart rather quickly. I got a little confused when we started introducing decisions but using the mimic tool helped me to see what the program is doing as i can see it in action.
What next-
Move onto Picaxe programmer
